Kathleen King LAc, PTA
Kathleen King LAc, PTA

Kathleen has been working in the medical field for over twenty years. Prior to becoming interested in alternative approaches to healing, Kathleen has spent the last thirteen of those years working in the field of physical therapy. For two years she worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland specializing in the care of spinal surgery patients, outpatients, and acute care inpatients.

The attraction of the Cascade mountains and her passion for backwoods hiking, camping and mountain biking lead Kathleen to Oregon almost fifteen years ago. It was here that she received her masters degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

Physical therapy and acupuncture complement each other to accelerate healing from soft tissue and skeletal injuries. Acupuncture can bring balance, physical strength and awareness to your exercise routine and overall wellness. Kathleen brings her understanding and passion of both philosophies to Optimal Results Physical Health and Tenth Avenue Athletic Club.

She specializes in pain management, sports injuries, and women's health issues with a strong focus on patient education.

Dan graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy before returning to Oregon, where he became licensed in both Oregon and Washington. He spent the last 4 years working for two physical therapy offices in Astoria, OR, and Long Beach WA, and believes that it is essential for the client's wellbeing for physical therapist and massage therapist to work together as a solid team.
